§1.2Declared interests

Declared interests are published in full for every register entry. A declaration is not a disqualification, and the Institute has never given a submission or a review less weight on that ground. The materiality threshold and the recusal rules are set out in the conflicts-of-interest policy, which was settled through public consultation.

§1.3Attribution

Members of the board, the assessment committee and the secretariat are named with their role, affiliation and declared interests. The committee ratifies every certainty rating the Institute publishes and is chaired independently of the board.
