Trial abstracts
700 structured trial abstracts. Each is one document in five parts: abstract, design and population, results, certainty assessment and citing documents.
A trial abstract records what a trial did, what it reported, how confident the Institute is in that report, and what the trial does not establish. Each abstract carries a field-by-field provenance table so that extracted figures can be told from Institute reconstructions without leaving the page.
Two kinds of record appear in this register. A published trial carries figures reproduced from its report, with fields left empty where the Institute does not hold them. An Institute-constructed programme record represents an instalment or sub-study of a real programme, is labelled on every page, and reports no effect estimate. 152 records are of the first kind and 548 of the second.
