Petrelintide — clinical evidence
Assessed outcomes with certainty ratings, contributing trials and the reasoning for each rating.
§3Clinical evidence
§3.1Obesity and overweight in adults
Anchor outcome. Percentage change in body weight from baseline.
Effect as recorded. −8.6 % body weight at 16 weeks in a phase 1b multiple-ascending-dose study versus −1.7 % with placebo; small sample; confidence limits wide.[1,2]
Certainty. Low certainty Phase 1b with a 16-week horizon. The gastrointestinal adverse-event incidence was lower than that reported for incretin analogues at comparable weight reduction, which is the observation of interest, but cross-trial comparison of tolerability is not a randomised comparison and the Institute says so.
Contributing trials. PETRE-PH1B · PETRE-PH2-OBESITY. Full structured abstracts are published for each.
